Panzer II was a light tank used by Germany during World War II. It was first produced in 1935 and played a significant role in the early campaigns of the war, especially during the invasion of Poland and the Battle of France. The tank had a crew of three and was armed with a 20mm cannon and two machine guns. It had a maximum speed of 40 km/h and was relatively lightly armored, making it vulnerable to enemy fire. As the war progressed and new, more advanced tanks emerged, the Panzer II became less effective and was gradually phased out of service. However, it remained in use in some secondary roles until the end of the war.
